AO Multispecialty Clinic (AOMSC) is thrilled to share a momentous chapter in our journey towards advancing healthcare accessibility. It is with immense pride and anticipation that we announce the development of a state-of-the-art cancer treatment center in North Augusta, South Carolina. This endeavor is not just a physical expansion but a heartfelt commitment to revolutionize cancer care in the heart of South Carolina.
At the Beacon Bluff press conference held on January 12, our CEO, Traci Duffie, passionately conveyed our dedication to addressing the challenges faced by cancer patients in our community. We listened to our patients, and a resounding concern echoed— the burdensome need to travel to multiple facilities for cancer care. In response, our upcoming center aims to be a beacon of hope, offering comprehensive services all under one roof, making cancer care more accessible and patient centric.
The distinctive features of our forthcoming center showcasing its role as a comprehensive hub for cancer care. The second floor will house a 30,000 square foot medical oncology suite, seamlessly integrating chemotherapy services. On the first floor, a cutting-edge 15,000 square foot radiation center will boast the latest technology in a two-state area. Our goal is crystal clear—to elevate the patient’s experience and provide advanced care with the latest technology.
One notable benefit for patients undergoing radiation treatment is the significantly lower insurance copays, made possible by the absence of facility fees. The cost-effectiveness became achievable due to the elimination of Certificate of Need laws in South Carolina, which previously posed barriers to certain healthcare services.
We want to extend our gratitude to the city of North Augusta, Mayor Britton Williams, and members of the city council for their steadfast support in welcoming AO Multispecialty to the community.
As our advanced cancer treatment center takes shape, it stands as a testament to our commitment—empowering hope, fostering continuity of care, and ushering in a new era of comprehensive and accessible cancer care in the heart of South Carolina. We are excited to embark on this journey, making a positive impact on the lives of those we are privileged to serve.
