Lizzie began her nutritional education at the University of Georgia where she double majored in Nutrition Science and Dietetics and spent a year working with the UGA football team’s nutrition program. During her time at UGA, Lizzie spent several months living in the Costa Rican rainforest where she completed research for her Ecology minor. She completed her Dietetic Internship with Wellness Workdays in Boston and holds a Master of Nutrition Science and Health Promotion from Simmons University. Her previous experience includes being a part of the Clinical Nutrition team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta for more than 5 years and working in critical care in the MICU/TICU for over 3 years.

Lizzie completed her CNSC credential (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) in October 2022, and was awarded “Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year” by the Georgia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for the year 2022. She has also been featured in multiple local media outlets such as Fox 54, The Augusta Chronicle, and The Medical Examiner. She joined the AO Multispecialty Clinic team in February 2023 as our first dietitian and provides nutritional education and guidance for patients undergoing treatment.

Outside of work, you can find her traveling the world, exercising, hiking, trying new restaurants, experimenting with new recipes, or lounging at the beach or lake. Fun facts about Lizzie: she is a quarter Icelander and holds 11 state championships in track!
